Hello, My name is Kareece Bell. I am a Third Class Petty Officer of the U. S. Naval Reserves. I enlisted in April 2005, I am stationed here in Jacksonville, Florida. I earned my Associates of Applied Science degree in Criminal Justice from ITT Technical Institute.in 2009. I knew I wanted to further my education; therefore I enrolled and graduated from Kaplan University with a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice in 2011. In addition, I earned a Private Investigation certificate from Penn Foster in 2015. Who would know that 2016 would be such a great year for me.
In March 2016, I became a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, INC with Graduate chapter Beta Alpha Zeta in Jacksonville, Florida. I am the Assistant Tamias Grammateus and Chair of the Military Committee. I am a current undergraduate student finishing my Associates in Paralegal Studies from Penn Foster College and a Graduate student pursuing a Graduate certificate in Security Management from American Military University. It seems as if I spend all of my time in school and my life is all figured out, right? You are wrong, there were some stumbling blocks along the way.
One of the most challenging situation that I went through while in school was trying to relocate to another city while working overtime. My family was 3 hours away. It was quite a stressful and frustrating time and I had to retake courses. I overcame this obstacle by taking a break and deciding to reevaluate what career path was best for me. I then decided to change my school and my major.
My drive and passion for continued learning is the reason that I proudly stand behind the "Degree Girl" Brand. I tend to call myself a life long student as I truly believe one never stop learning. I solely believe in learning new things daily and I follow Founder Arizona Cleaver Stemons motto,
"Give to the world the best you have."
