Greetings from Dr. Angee Yvette Valentine from Carville, Louisiana. I am a graduate of Nova Southeastern University', Doctor of Education Program in STEM and Early Childhood. In addition, I am a graduate of McNeese State University (Lake Charles, LA) and LSU/Baton Rouge. I am a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. The back story of our Platinum and Gold “Degree Girl” line was conceived to acknowledge, honor and celebrate all the phenomenal women who poured their blood, sweat and tears to attain their degree. So, it is our sincere hope that wearing a “Degree Girl” shirt gives you the same sense of pride as it does my sister and I. Ladies thank you for joining the sisterhood; a movement forged from dedication, tenacity, and intellectual swag.
My name is Dr. Ashley Rochelle Danielle Valentine. I am a native of Carville, Louisiana. I am a graduate of Nova Southeastern University, Doctor of Education in Early Childhood Education and Higher Education Administration. In addition, I am a graduate of Southern University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. I am a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, INC. One of the reasons I developed the concept “DEGREE GIRL” is due to the hard work, resilience, and determination it took to obtain all of my degrees. While pursuing my undergraduate degree, I worked a full -time job and helped care for my autistic nephew, Dakota. For these reasons, I felt a need to honor women who have and will continue to overcome barriers, challenges and adversity. I look forward to meeting many “DEGREE GIRLS from all over the world. DEGREE GIRL IS A MOVEMENT!!!!!!!!
